The tremendous interest and growth in the sport of crew in Central New York has resulted in the area's oldest, premier rowing      organization outgrowing their current facilities. So the Syracuse Chargers are launching a community campaign to build a new boathouse on Onondaga Lake.

The Syracuse Chargers have already secured $215,000 toward their $500,000 Capital Campaign goal, according to Bob O'Leary, the President for the organization. This includes a $150,000 grant from New York State that was made possible with the help of State Assemblyman Al Stirpe.

Donations of any denomination are welcome and there are naming opportunities available to leadership givers who would like to be part of the legacy of helping young rowers through this great physical fitness activity.
